Our History

The Latham Group originated in the 1960's as the original buying group with an organized purchasing philosophy. Since 1974 the Latham Group operated as a Vermont Corporation under it's President and CEO, Neil Pendergast Neil Pendergast retired from the buying group in December of 1999 and a new limited liability Company, the Latham Buying Group, LLC was issued the articles of organization on December 28, 1999 by the State of New York. Each Latham retailer has an equal ownership interest in the buying group.

The Latham Group is a Members Owned Company with five managers directing the affairs of the Latham Group with Thomas Le Clair being the sixth Manager acting as the Business Manager. Mr. Le Clair has over thirty eight years of manufactured home experience with the Latham Group and possesses over forty five years of combined experience.

Geographic areas of retail penetration are from the states of PA, NY, VT, NH, MD, NJ, ME, VA, WV, OH, CT, IN, MI , MN, IL, MA. and MT.  The Latham Group, generates millions of dollars  in wholesale purchases from National Companies such as: Champion Homes (Redman, Champion, Titan -- Northeast facilities) Champion Mid West facilities of Fortune, Dutch, Redman, Commander, Liberty Homes, Skyline Homes, Ritz Craft Homes. Excel Modualr Homes, Indiana Building Systems & Holly Park)  Penn West, Manorwood Modualr Homes, Penn Lyon Modualr Homes, Shamrock Homes, Adventure Homes & Eagle River Homes, 

The Latham Business office has distributed millions of dollars in rebate to the participating Latham members.
